Dr. Clare McCarthy is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic hand surgeon. Her goal is to work in partnership with each patient, engaging them in their care and getting them back to their activity level as soon as possible. Dr. McCarthy has performed over a thousand endoscopic carpal tunnel surgeries. Her practice also includes joint replacement for the wrist, fingers and the base of the thumb, which has been the focus of her research. She is a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.

I think Dr. McCarthy is amazing. She was every positive adjective I can think of. Most of all she made me feel like my case was important; tested my hands, explained the anatomy and upcoming procedure. I did not feel like a spot in a herd of people. I felt she has a personal interest in the welfare and treatment of her patients. I know she will make my hands wonderful.

Of all the doctors I have seen in the past 80 years, Dr McCarthy is the best - by far. Never before have I been as happy and satisfied after any medical visit or procedure as I am with the results of the carpal tunnel release surgery she did for me 4 weeks ago. The incision is nearly invisible and the sensation in my fingers has returned almost to normal in a surprisingly short time. And I continue to improve.

I did preregistration and was seen for an xray almost immediately. My appointment was scheduled after and I was called beck before the scheduled appointment. I was promptly seen and everything was explained to me. As this was a second opinion for an injury that was very painful and had been going on for 6 weeks, I was anxious. THe dr and staff put me at ease and I was seen the next day for surgery. I am in the healing phase post surgery and everything is going better than expected!
