Dr. Hao Pan is a prominent cardiothoracic surgeon who joins Biltmore Cardiology from the Medical Center of the Rockies in Colorado. Dr. Pan became intrigued with heart and lung physiology as a Division I collegiate cross country and track athlete at the University of Colorado, Boulder. He competed amongst future Olympians while pursuing a degree in exercise physiology. After graduation, he collected cardiac surgical outcomes for a group of cardiac surgeons in Phoenix, AZ. Witnessing his first open heart surgery solidified Dr. Pan’s goal to become a cardiothoracic surgeon. Throughout his medical journey, Dr. Pan embraced diverse clinical experiences while maintaining his focus on cardiothoracic surgery. He secured a spot in a prestigious integrated Cardiothoracic residency program in Texas. During residency, Dr. Pan volunteered for organ procurement and devoted weekends to clinical research and writing surgical textbook chapters. At the core of his professional ethos lies a deep commitment to treating each patient with individualized care, compassion, and respect. Moreover, his practice embraces technological innovation. Through this approach, Dr. Pan has delivered patient care of the highest quality and developed enduring connections with his patients.

Was a pleasant experience Office staff was very kind & appreciative that I did my paperwork before my appt. That in itself helps everyone when the patients prepared. Dr Pan made everything clear and covered everything I could ask for. I walked out feeling a lot better than when I arrived. He explained the process clearly and relieve my anxiety about my illness and the procedure.

Dr. Pan is the reason I'm alive and recovering from my surgery. He visited me often while I was in the Cardiac ICU. He was a great comfort to my wife and daughter before and after my surgery. Dr. Pan gave us clear and precise instructions on what the procedure would be, including risks and gains, timeframe, showed us our video imaging as to why and to what items in my heart needed to be repaired. His compassion, morals and ethics at to what he does is above comparison. He's an exceptionally kind and caring person and it definitely shows in his bedside manner, professionalism and dedication to his chosen profession. He is "Good People" as my mom used to say. He definitely is underpaid. The world can use more people like him!
